Ms. Lanphear was a PILI fellow at the Family Violence Appellate Project, where she helped victims of domestic violence appeal custody and restraining order decisions. While in law school, Ms. Lanphear served as a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary and, later, for the East Bay Community Law Center. Ms. Lanphear also gained valuable experience as a 2013 summer associate at Schiff Hardin. Prior to law school, Ms. Lanphear worked as a social worker, advocating for clients in family and criminal court.
