Jason Wright has represented corporations and public entities in a range of commercial litigation matters. His practice focuses on defending companies in consumer class actions, particularly matters involving claims based on unfair competition laws and the California Consumer Legal Remedies Act. Jason's recent experience includes defeating class certification in one matter and obtaining dismissal of claims in a second matter.

Jason also has represented numerous insureds in insurance recovery matters. He recently participated in litigating a matter in which the insurers settled and paid 100 percent of the policy benefits to Jones Day's client.

Jason also represents Experian Information Solutions and manages several cases in which individual consumers have alleged violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

In addition, Jason participates in pro bono representations. He has litigated a domestic violence restraining order through trial, obtaining a three-year order of protection for the client. Jason also has represented an indigent prisoner in a long-running case against the state of California to secure the inmate's constitutional right to religious freedom. The case ended with a favorable settlement after Jason successfully obtained a preliminary injunction against the state.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Jason worked at Southern California Edison as a summer extern in their in-house counsel department.
