Jean Paul D. Boulee

Jean-Paul Boulee focuses his practice on commercial and securities litigation, as well as white-collar criminal defense. He has defended several class actions and has considerable experience with accounting and securities fraud cases and commercial contract disputes. Jean-Paul frequently represents companies and individuals being investigated by the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission and has successfully defended clients being investigated by the Department of Energy, the DOJ's Antitrust Division, the Department of the Treasury, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Emergency Management Association, the Office of the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division.

In addition to civil litigation experience, Jean-Paul has handled a wide variety of white-collar criminal cases involving antitrust violations, bribery of public officials, the FCPA, defense contractor fraud, false claims, insider trading, mail and wire fraud, securities fraud, tax fraud, public corruption, and unlawful campaign contributions. Prior to joining Jones Day, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps. While stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), he tried 50 courts-martial and separation boards and acted as operational law advisor to the 502nd Infantry Regiment in the field.

Jean-Paul is active in the Atlanta community. He serves on the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce's Atlanta Public Schools Committee, Fernbank Museum of Natural History's Corporate Leadership Council, Washington & Lee's Atlanta Alumni Association Board, and is chairman of the American Legion's War Monument Restoration Committee. He is a member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2012.
