Jeffrey R. Dutson

Jeffrey Dutson

is an associate in the Financial Restructuring Practice Group in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office. Mr. Dutson represents a broad range of clients in financial restructuring and insolvency matters. He has represented debtors and secured lenders in a variety of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and large commercial workouts. Mr. Dutson frequently represents institutional senior-secured lenders in syndicated credit facilities, with particular experience in the healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, and media industries.

Mr. Dutson is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association, the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia. In addition, Mr. Dutson has published a variety of articles on restructuring and insolvency issues. Mr. Dutson serves on the board for the NextGen Turnaround Management Association (Atlanta), he is a member of the Associates Committee for the firm’s Atlanta office, and he is a member of the firm’s Atlanta office hiring committee.

Mr. Dutson is a graduate of the University of Chicago where he earned his law degree, with honors. He obtained a bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Dutson served as a law clerk for the Honorable E. Grady Jolly of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
