Jennifer C. Kellett

Jennifer C. Kellett is Of Counsel in the Memphis, Tennessee, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She has almost two decades of experience in all facets of labor and employment law.

Dually licensed, Ms. Kellett began her career in private practice in Arkansas before joining the Memphis office of another national labor and employment law firm. She also taught “The Legal Environments of Business” as an Adjunct Professor at the College of Business at Arkansas State University. After that, she spent almost nine years representing the United States Postal Service in administrative litigation before the EEOC and Merit Systems Protection Board throughout Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

Most recently, she has served as in-house counsel for an Arkansas asphalt production and highway construction company, providing advice on all employment and other legal matters, including conducting employee training and performing internal audits, performing contract review and negotiation, drafting executive buy-outs, setting up new entities, defending the company against unemployment compensation claims and government compliance audits, pursuing state claims actions, and handling collections, liens, and garnishment matters.

Ms. Kellett attended law school on a full academic merit scholarship, where she competed as a member the school’s 1996-97 National Moot Court Team and participated in American Inns of Court and The Board of Advocates.

Ms. Kellett and her husband Brian are active members of First Baptist Memphis, where she is involved in strategic planning as a member of the church’s Vision Team. They have three daughters, Abigail, Catherine and Elizabeth.
