Jenny Cooper represents clients in employment litigation alleging claims of disability, age, race, sex and sexual orientation discrimination; retaliation; harassment; breach of contract; defamation; unpaid wages; and unfair competition. Jenny is recognized in Chambers USA as a leading lawyer in Massachusetts for labor and employment where clients describe her as “very practical and very good on highly sensitive matters” and laud her as “worth her weight in gold.” She successfully represents clients in state and federal courts as well as before administrative agencies. Jenny advises clients on a wide range of employment issues, including wage and hour compliance, workplace investigations, employee discipline, terminations, leaves of absence (including the Family and Medical Leave Act), employee benefits, employment agreements, non-compete agreements, and the creation of employment policies and handbooks. Jenny also conducts sensitive investigations for a wide variety of clients.
Jenny has also done a considerable amount of pro bono work, including successfully representing women and children in the United States, and in international matters involving domestic violence and child abuse.
At the University of Michigan Law School, Jenny served as both an associate and executive editor of the Journal of Race and Law. Prior to joining the firm, Jenny completed a clerkship with the Hon. James G. Carr of the U. S. District Judge for the Northern District of Ohio.
