Jeremy J. Brandon

Jeremy Brandon is a partner in the Dallas office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. He is a trial lawyer with extensive experience in a wide variety of subject areas and is a member of the firm's General Commercial Litigation, Securities Litigation, Class Actions, and Antitrust and Competition practice groups.

In ten years of private practice, Mr. Brandon has successfully handled a wide variety of complex matters for clients across the country: from pre-suit negotiation and settlement of large commercial disputes in Texas and New York, to multidistrict antitrust litigation set in New Jersey, to shareholder and creditor derivative matters in Delaware Chancery Court and federal court, to employment class actions in California, to patent and trade secret cases in Texas. He has tried cases in state and federal courts.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn in 2015, Mr. Brandon was a partner at Susman Godfrey LLP. Mr. Brandon also served as Legal Counsel to then-Senator John F. Kerry in Washington, D.C., during the 111th and 112th Congresses. As Counsel to Senator Kerry, he was responsible for advising the Senator on domestic legal matters as well as policy issues related to financial services and banking, antitrust, securities, intellectual property, labor, and insurance. According to Mr. Kerry, "Jeremy is as smart as he is savvy and strategic, with an innate ability to process complex issues quickly. I couldn't have asked for a better legal mind as my Counsel on Capitol Hill."

Born and raised in Tahoka, a one-stoplight farming community in West Texas, Mr. Brandon went on to attend Texas A&M University where he earned a 4.0 GPA and graduated first in his class of more than 3,500 in the College of Liberal Arts. He then earned his law degree magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. Before entering private practice, Mr. Brandon clerked for the Honorable Jeffrey R. Howard on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Mr. Brandon is admitted to practice in Texas and the District of Columbia.
