Jill T. Sandhaas

Jill Sandhaas is a member of the firm’s Government Relations practice in the Albany and New York City offices. She has spent most of her professional career working inside the New York State Legislature and has a high level of credibility with elected officials and staff. Prior to joining the firm, Jill served as counsel to the chairman of the New York State Senate Health Committee, and as an advance representative for former First Lady Barbara Bush on both domestic and foreign travel.

During her more than 20 years in government service, Jill has developed an extensive network of professional contacts and resources at the local, state and federal levels of government. These relationships and her intimate knowledge of the legislative process have enabled Jill to build a successful practice assisting the firm’s financial services, higher education and non-profit clients in lobbying, appropriations and regulatory matters.

Jill is committed to finding legislative solutions to client challenges. At the outset of each session, she works closely with her clients to understand their concerns and develop a strategy for attaining their goals. She remains in constant communication with her clients to keep them abreast of issues that impact their business.
