Jin Suk A. Park

Jin-Suk Park focuses on patent litigation, intellectual property transactions and strategic IP counseling.

Practice & Background

Mr. Park has litigated patents in the U.S. district courts, as well as Section 337 cases before the ITC in several scientific and technical fields, including telecommunications, computer semiconductors, integrated circuits, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and genetic engineering. He has also advised clients on IP strategy, patent portfolio valuation, licensing, risk assessments and indemnity issues.

Before joining Akin Gump, Mr. Park was an associate in the New York and Washington, D.C., offices of an international law firm.

Mr. Park received his undergraduate in biology in from the Johns Hopkins University, and conducted independent undergraduate research at the Wilmer Eye Institute at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and an M.S. candidate in biology. He received both his M.B.A. and his J.D. in 2001 from Boston University, where he was co-director of the Negotiation and Client Counseling Competitions and a student clerk for the Honorable John S. Unpingco and the Honorable William D. Browning (senior judge) of the U.S. District Court for the 9th Circuit. Mr. Park is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
