John MacKerron,

a partner in the New York office, is a member of the Structured Finance Group. The focus of his practice is in securitization transactions and derivative financial products, with an emphasis on acting as counsel to the sponsors of, and other participants in, various municipal bond repackaging programs.

Mr. MacKerron has served in various capacities on the firm's leadership team over the years, including two terms as a member of the Executive Committee.

Mr. MacKerron was first with the firm from 1984 until 1989 and returned to the firm in 1994. During the interim, he was a Professor of Law at the University of Toledo College of Law from 1989 to 1994 and a Visiting Professor of Law at the Western New England College School of Law in 1994.
