John C. Taylor

is a US tax partner in King & Spalding’s London Office.

Mr. Taylor focuses primarily on international matters and tax controversy. He advises financial institutions, corporations, securities/commodities dealers, investment partnerships and individuals on a variety of international matters.

Mr. Taylor regularly advises clients on cross-border transactions, business operations and capital markets offerings or investments. He is very familiar with issues arising in related areas of law, including financial regulation, financial instruments, trusts, private equity and hedge funds. He has particular expertise in international tax planning, international capital markets, investment funds, derivatives and other financial instruments, FCPA/OFAC experience, and tax controversy.

Mr. Taylor has an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, a J.D. from the University of Tennessee and a B.S. from the University of Tennessee. Mr. Taylor is a member of the State Bar of Tennessee, the State Bar of North Carolina and is a Registered Foreign Lawyer with the Law Society of England and Wales. Mr. Taylor was a US tax partner at the London office of one of the “magic circle” firms prior to joining King & Spalding.
