John H. Knox

John H. Knox,

a partner in the San Francisco office, is a member of the firm’s Public Finance Department, where he co-chairs the Special Tax and Assessment Financing Group and the 501c-3 Revenue Bond Group. He is also an active member of the firm’s Redevelopment, Revenue, Transportation and Lease Financing Practice Groups.

His practice focuses on local governmental infrastructure financing, including special assessment and other land-secured financings, various statewide financing programs, municipal lease financing, redevelopment financing, transportation and utility revenue financing. He also assists nonprofit institutions, including colleges, universities and private K-12 schools with tax-exempt financings.

Mr. Knox is also one of the leading attorneys in the country in the area of municipal restructuring and bankruptcy, having represented the cities of Stockton and Vallejo in their Chapter 9 cases, as well as several other local government agencies in connection with non-bankruptcy workouts and restructurings.
