John Sasaki has represented clients in civil litigation matters in state and federal courts and in arbitration including international arbitration, and his experience spans all stages of litigation at both the trial and appellate levels.

John's practice has encompassed a broad range of subject matters including consumer and employment class actions, toxic torts, product liability, misappropriation of trade secrets, and trademark infringement as well as actions under the False Claims Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and the California Unruh Act and Unfair Competition Law. His trial experience includes matters before the Los Angeles Superior Court, in private arbitration, and in administrative hearings before the Los Angeles County Employee Relations Commission.

John's recent client successes include obtaining a defense verdict in a writ of mandate action against the County of Los Angeles and the County Recorder, securing a dismissal on personal jurisdiction grounds of a breach of contract action against a Chinese semiconductor company, and prevailing on defamation and other tort claims asserted against a hospital by a former employee.

Pro bono work has been a significant part of John's practice. He represented the Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations in a successful effort to recover a domain name for a public service web site and received the Commission's John Anson Ford award for his efforts. He also represented the Anti-Defamation League in a matter before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals involving alleged violations of the Establishment Clause at a homeless shelter.
