Jack Sheridan is co-managing partner of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he has practiced corporate and securities law for more than 25 years. He has been the leader of the firm's business law department since 2006, and also was co-chair of the firm's Compensation and Nominating Committees for several years.
Jack focuses on the corporate legal needs of public and private companies primarily in the technology, life sciences, and retail consumer sectors. He is currently involved in the representation of numerous public and venture-backed private companies. In addition to addressing the corporate governance, intellectual property, and other day-to-day needs of these companies, Jack specializes in sophisticated corporate transactions including public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and venture financing transactions.
During his career, he has represented companies and underwriters in more than 100 public offerings, which have raised billions of dollars of capital. Jack also has represented more than 150 companies in successfully raising venture capital financing. In addition, he has acted on behalf of numerous public and private companies in sophisticated merger and acquisition transactions.
Jack was selected for inclusion in the 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 editions of The Best Lawyers in America in the fields of corporate law and corporate governance and compliance law.
In addition to his role as an attorney, Jack is a certified public accountant in the state of California.
