Joe Alexander is a widely respected corporate and private equity lawyer who focuses his international practice on representing corporations and private equity firms in connection with M&A and corporate matters.

Joe regularly represents nationally known private equity firms and sellers selling to such firms in M&A and governance matters, including M&A transactions for aggregate consideration exceeding US$10.0 billion in the last five years. He also serves as outside general counsel to various public and private companies, including in connection with M&A transactions for aggregate consideration exceeding US$4.0 billion in the last five years

Joe is a member of DLA Piper's Executive and Policy Committees, the Southeast US Managing Partner (with management responsibility for DLA Piper's Georgia and Florida offices), the Southeast US Chair of the Corporate and Private Equity Practices and a member of the Leadership Committee of the Corporate and Private Equity practices nationally.
