Joseph C. Ragaglia is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice, co-chair of the firm's global Labor-Management Relations Practice, and practice group leader for the Pennsylvania offices of the Labor and Employment Practice. Through his nationwide labor law practice, Mr. Ragaglia provides employers with strategic advice related to union-organizing campaigns, corporate campaigns, contract negotiation and administration, and all matters before the National Labor Relations Board.
Mr. Ragaglia regularly advises clients in various industries regarding the complex labor implications involved in mergers and acquisitions, sales, strikes, decertifications, plant closings, and relocations. He represents employers in labor and employment law proceedings before various federal and state courts and administrative agencies, and he counsels clients on compliance with the multitude of federal, state, and local employment laws. His practice also includes management and supervisory training in positive employee relations, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and harassment prevention.
In addition to litigation matters, Mr. Ragaglia drafts employment policies and agreements and advises employers on all aspects of day-to-day labor and employment relationships. He frequently speaks on topics such as pending labor legislation, including the Employee Free Choice Act, the RESPECT Act, and the Patriot Act.
Mr. Ragaglia has a certificate in human resources management from Villanova University and a certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Mr. Ragaglia earned his J.D. from the Ohio State University College of Law, where he served as associate editor for The Ohio State Law Journal.
Mr. Ragaglia is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
