Joe regularly advises clients regarding the procurement, management, and licensing of intellectual property assets. He recently managed the worldwide patent portfolio for a client's polymer coatings. He also has led negotiations and overseen due diligence in mergers and asset purchases.

Joe's experience covers a broad spectrum of technologies, with a particular focus on oil field tools, polymer chemistry, and software. Joe also has experience with technologies involving coal extraction and processing, computer hardware, printers, medical devices, cellular telephones, and a wide variety of consumer products, including watches, candles, cosmetics, shampoos, and air fresheners.

Joe has repeatedly been recognized as a "Texas Rising Star," a select group of attorneys chosen by Texas Super Lawyers, Law & Politics magazine, and the publishers of Texas Monthly. In addition, Joe has authored articles and spoken at conferences on various issues of intellectual property law.
