Josh Clause launched his career in Washington, DC working at two of the country’s most prestigious large law firms: Patton Boggs, LLP and Dentons US, LLP. While practicing law, Clause represented clients in high-stakes matters, tackled complex legal and policy issues, and advocated before Congress, courts, and various federal agencies. Today, clients rely on his advisory and advocacy experience to provide insight into the federal rulemaking process and advance their priorities on the Hill.

Clause joined Sixkiller Consulting from Dentons US, LLP, a premier global law firm, where he was a managing associate in the Native American Law & Policy Practice. His practice focused on tribal land acquisitions, economic development, and gaming. Clause represented the tribe involved in the very first Carcieri related fee-to-trust acquisition by the Department of the Interior, and defended that acquisition in subsequent litigation.

Clause’s first job in DC was as an associate at Patton Boggs, LLP where his practice spanned the spectrum from Indian law and government contracting to government investigations and federal advocacy. He represented several companies subject to high-profile government investigations and offered strategic advice and counsel on how to resolve these complex situations.
