Julia Bernstein’s practice focuses on all aspects of the representation of lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured transactions, structured finance transactions and multi-state transactions. Julia frequently issues legal opinions in connection with multi-state projects and as local counsel for transactions originated outside of Alabama secured by real property located within the state. Her practice includes representing banks, financial institutions and other lenders as secured or unsecured creditors in loan workouts and debt restructuring efforts. She has also worked on various interest rate swap transactions.
Julia routinely represents financial institutions and real estate and corporate clients in secured and unsecured commercial loans, as well as advising them in the restructuring and workout of defaulted commercial loans.
