Julia L. Cronin

Julia Cronin is a litigator whose practice focuses on complex civil litigation and arbitration. She advocates for clients in all phases of civil litigation and has tried a number of cases as well as represented clients before a three-member arbitration panel under AAA rules and explored bilateral investment treaty claims under the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes Convention. She has a particular talent for preparing witnesses to testify at trial.

Currently, Julia represents an international government contracting firm in defense of class actions and individual actions alleging billions of dollars of damages from flooding in New Orleans following levee breaches during Hurricane Katrina.

Julia recently spent 16 months in Tokyo, Japan assisting a multinational company under investigation by the United States Department of Justice and international competition authorities for alleged bid rigging and price-fixing related to automotive wire harnesses and related products.

She has previously represented an energy company before the Court of Federal Claims in a set of disputes with the U.S. government over ownership interest in a large oil field, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in a number of the Engle progeny cases pending in Florida state courts, and litigated complex contract disputes concerning stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, and telecommunications agreements. She also has represented several clients in civil antitrust suits.

Julia has an active pro bono practice that includes counseling and advocating for disabled veterans seeking benefit determinations in administrative hearings before all branches of the military and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
