I am an attorney with over 30 years of experience representing health care entities, primarily related to managed care, including both legal and executive responsibilities. I have been general counsel of both non-profit and publicly traded health care companies, as well as an executive of a regional managed care plan, and have advised all types of health care organizations, including hospitals, physicians and vendors such as disease management organizations.

My experience includes advising clients of all types regarding issues pertaining to health regulation, including issues relating to health reform, such as exchange related issues, ACO issues, MLR requirements and rate approvals; advising health plans and health providers about regulatory requirements and compliance, as well as developing and implementing regulatory compliance plans, conducting investigations and working with State and Federal regulators in connection with potential regulatory violations; developing and analyzing innovative payment arrangements between health plans and providers; structuring and negotiating new business arrangements including joint ventures; negotiating major contractual arrangements including outsourcing arrangements; advising boards of directors of health related companies; mergers and acquisitions, including working with private equity and other funds in evaluating health related investments; and public policy.
