Mr. Matthew H. Hurlock has been a Partner of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP since February 2015. Mr. Hurlock served as a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP until January 2015. Mr. Hurlock focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions transactions, international leveraged buyouts, venture capital investments and formation of private equity and venture capital funds. He also has extensive experience with international equity and debt offerings and structured finance transactions, including numerous privatizations and project financings. Mr. Hurlock has worked extensively throughout Europe and Latin America and, in addition to London, has been resident in Paris and Frankfurt. He is a Member of International Bar Association, Section on Business Law; Council on Foreign Relations; and Council on Foreign Relations. He has worked in World Bank, Washington, D.C.; Sichuan University, Chengdu, P.R. China as a Lecturer in US Criminal Law; Haiwen & Partners, Beijing, P.R. China as a Visiting Attorney; Office of the General Counsel, The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development; and Davis Polk & Wardwell as an Associate. Mr. Hurlock did JD in 1993 from Columbia University Law School and AB in French and English Literature in 1988 from Princeton University. He also has knowledge of French, Spanish, Italian, and Mandarin Chinese language.
