Matthew Pepping's practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on insurance coverage, professional liability, and commercial litigation.

Mr. Pepping advises domestic and foreign insurers in complex coverage matters and represents insurers in litigation arising out of directors and officers, professional liability, pollution liability, and excess insurance coverage. Mr. Pepping also advises insurers in connection with claims against their insureds for legal malpractice. In addition, Mr. Pepping represents clients in the financial services industry with respect to an assortment of claims made against their employees or agents and has experience representing reinsurers in arbitration. He also has an active pro bono practice. Recently, he was counsel to the plaintiffs who successfully challenged Texas' ban on same-sex marriage in De Leon v. Abbott.
