Michel Bayonne defends private and public entities in arbitration hearings before the State Board of Mediation and Arbitration (“SBMA”) and the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”). His recent victories include matters pertaining to promotions and/or transfers, workload issues, subcontracting claims, alleged entitlements to overtime, disciplinary actions, terminations, and insurance matters. He also defends prohibited practice charges on a wide range of matters before the State Board of Labor Relations (“SBLR”). Mike also represents employers during internal disciplinary and pre-arbitration grievance hearings and advises them on the implementation of existing collective bargaining agreements.

Mike represents school districts and municipalities in all areas of workplace law. He advises private and public employers on all aspects of employment matters – including complaints of employment discrimination, sexual harassment and other related allegations – in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies. He also conducts internal investigations of claims involving gender and race discrimination and sexual harassment. Prior to joining McCarter, Mike practiced law at Durant, Nichols, Houston PC in Bridgeport, CT.
