Myles K. Bartley

Myles Bartley is a seasoned litigator who has successfully tried cases in state and federal courts across the country, as well as in multiple arbitration forums, including AAA, FINRA, JAMS, and before the Major League Baseball Players Association.

Myles has extensive experience representing individuals and companies in complex commercial litigation. These clients have included Fortune 500 companies, major privately held companies, directors, officers, and other senior executives.

His commercial experience includes cases involving issues of breach of contract, fraud, insurance, RICO, real estate, insolvency and restructuring, and securities fraud. He also has significant experience handling matters involving complex financial products. Myles has litigated cases addressing structured and securitized products, derivatives, asset-backed securities, and swaps. His cases frequently involve class actions as well as individual suits.

Myles has represented companies and individuals in both criminal actions and enforcement proceedings. Myles has represented clients in matters brought by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, the UK Serious Fraud Office, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the Internal Revenue Service.

His criminal matters have included those involving issues of: mail, wire, and securities fraud; money laundering (“AML”); the Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (“FCPA”); and other complex crimes. Myles is well-versed in professional ethics and anti-corruption issues, and has written extensively on anti-corruption matters. In addition, Myles has substantial AML and sanctions experience and has advised clients concerning potential violations, and best practices.

Myles also has significant experience advising global clients concerning compliance issues. His compliance experiences include conducting risk assessments, drafting compliance manuals, developing training programs, and preparing model contract provisions on issues related to the FCPA and the U.K. Bribery Act 2010, AML, and sanctions
