Patricia A. Alcamo is an attorney in Baker Donelson's Knoxville office. As a member of the Firm's Corporate Finance and Securities Group, Ms. Alcamo focuses her practice in the areas of securities, asset management, corporate law, hedge funds and private equity.
Ms. Alcamo has significant experience in the representation of private funds (domestic and offshore) in launches and restructurings. She regularly counsels registered investment adviser clients on regulatory and compliance issues and assists in acquisitions and mergers in the industry. Ms. Alcamo has experience assisting clients with SEC examinations, deficiency letters, regulatory filings, drafting policies and procedures, training employees and creating an overarching culture of compliance. As the former general counsel to MKP Capital Management, L.L.C., an alternative asset manager with more than $5 billion in assets under management, Ms. Alcamo is experienced with the day-to-day legal and compliance issues facing asset managers, including the negotiation of separately managed accounts, investor side letters, vendor agreements, confidentiality agreements and the practical implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
