Peter Morris is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP. He is a member of the Litigation Department and serves as a vice chair of the White Collar and Investigations Practice Group.
Mr. Morris has more than 29 years of experience representing companies and individuals in federal prosecutions, including securities fraud, bank fraud, health care fraud, criminal antitrust, bribery, money laundering, tax evasion and environmental crimes. Mr. Morris concentrates his practice on white collar criminal defense, complex business litigation, health care matters and securities litigation. Mr. Morris specializes in representing physician groups and physicians in civil and administrative matters including coding and billing issues and medical board licenses.
Mr. Morris was named by Chambers USA as a top lawyer in white-collar crime and government investigations in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and has been included on the Southern California Super Lawyers list in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
In addition to his private practice, Mr. Morris previously held a full-time faculty appointment with the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law. He also served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S.
