Randy Lehner is a partner in the firm’s Chicago office. He focuses on helping clients with regulatory investigations, government enforcement actions, and commercial litigation. When clients need to identify potential claims they may have or may face due to misrepresentations, mismanagement or fraud, Mr. Lehner has guided them through that process by conducting internal investigations that determine responsible parties and the scope of potential liability. He then works with clients to create and analyze solutions that best meet their business goals, including negotiated settlements, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation. Because Mr. Lehner has both pursued and defended against claims brought by government agencies, he offers clients unique perspective and judgment to help them to obtain successful resolutions to the legal and business problems that can arise in the investigation, enforcement and litigation process and to prevent similar problems from recurring.

Mr. Lehner represents a diverse group of clients including corporations, government agencies, directors, officers, and regulated investment professionals across a broad spectrum of financial services, consumer products, and manufacturing industries. He has defended against a wide variety of SEC enforcement actions and securities lawsuits ranging from insider trading to misrepresentations in the sale of securities. In addition, he has prosecuted and defended many complex commercial litigation matters, including class actions, trade secrets and non-competition clauses, business torts, breach of contract, and insurance coverage.
