Richard Aftanas is a corporate partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He represents issuers in a wide variety of public and private finance transactions. He has worked on numerous initial public offerings and other public and private equity securities offerings, as well as high-yield and investment grade debt offerings. He also advises U.S. and international clients with respect to corporate and securities law matters, as well as spin-offs, debt tender offers, exchange offers and other refinancing transactions.
