Robert Matthew Kritzman

Robert Kritzman has an extensive background in corporate transactions including financings and mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, corporate investigations, regulatory compliance, government relations and a broad range of maritime matters. He gained vast corporate and transactional experience having served 13 years as executive vice president and general counsel of Norwegian Cruise Line. While at NCL, Robert also fulfilled various executive and management responsibilities in addition to the general counsel role.

Robert’s corporate and transactional practice has primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions, cross border transactions, bank financings, lease finance transactions, business startups and ship sales, construction and finance transactions. Robert’s maritime practice includes shipping industry mergers and acquisitions and regulatory compliance and investigations. He has experience representing shipping companies in matters relating to environmental compliance, safety compliance, maritime labor regulations, establishing and enhancing safety management systems, Coast Guard inquiries and matters involving various international conventions and treaties. Robert’s maritime experience also includes working with the U.S. Coast Guard, the Maritime Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Maritime Commission and various members of the International Association of Classification Societies. He also represents numerous clients supporting the shipping and cruise industries including crewing agencies, shipboard concessionaires, duty free stores and suppliers.
