Robert Scheininger

Robert is a partner in the Corporate & Transactional Advisory Group.

Robert represents investment banks, broker-dealers, hedge and private equity funds and other financial institutions on a diverse range of transactions involving syndicated loans and other distressed assets in the U.S. and in foreign jurisdictions. He counsels clients in all aspects of the purchase and sale of these assets, including the analysis of underlying credit and other governing documents, drafting and negotiating transfer documentation and assisting with closing mechanics. Robert has extensive experience drafting and negotiating transfer documentation for secondary market transfers, including assignments and participations of bank loans using forms produced by the Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA) and the Loan Market Association (LMA). In addition to single-asset transfers, Robert has worked on a number of loan and bankruptcy claim portfolio transactions. Robert also has significant experience in a variety of general corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other business combinations.

Robert is a member of the LSTA and an active participant in the LSTA Trade Practices and Forms Committee, which continually reviews and updates the market standard documentation for par and distressed loan transactions and other issues affecting the secondary loan market.
