Ronald W. Goldberg is an of counsel in Holland & Knight's Los Angeles office and a member of the Structured Finance Team. Mr. Goldberg focuses his practice on hedge, private equity and distressed debt investment funds; foreign banks engaged in business in the United States; U.S. banks and financial institutions; sophisticated international borrowers; and airlines and aircraft and leasing companies involved in complex multijurisdictional transactions. He also has extensive experience in a broad range of industries, including aerospace and defense, capital markets, international development and microfinance pro bono matters.

Additionally, Mr. Goldberg has thorough knowledge of transportation finance and airline insolvency matters, as well as specific experience in complex financial derivatives, hedge and private equity fund financing, domestic and cross-border equipment leasing and project finance, multicurrency syndicated secured and unsecured lending, aircraft finance, domestic and Euro-commercial paper and medium-term note programs, and financial transactions in Latin America.

Over the last decade, Mr. Goldberg has advised clients in numerous innovative financing and restructuring transactions involving all types of lending, credit enhancement, equipment leasing and project finance. He has represented hedge and investment funds in sophisticated leverage and derivatives transactions, as well as aircraft lessors and airlines, major U.S. and offshore investment funds, U.S. money-center banks, and European and Asian banks doing business in the United States through branches and agencies.
