Russel G. Perkins focuses his practice on the private funds industry and advises fund sponsors, asset managers and institutional investors on a wide variety of domestic and international issues relating to real estate funds, private equity funds, hedge funds, funds of funds, secondaries funds and other alternative asset classes. Mr. Perkins regularly counsels clients on a range of matters pertaining to the Securities Act, the Investment Company Act, the Investment Advisers Act and ERISA and has significant experience with venture capital and M&A transactions.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Perkins served as special counsel in the investment management practice of another international law firm. His previous experience also includes working as a private equity partner at a global law firm.
