Stuart D. Rosen

Stuart Rosen is a highly experienced commercial litigator with first-chair jury and bench trial experience in federal and state courts. He is a member of the firm's Insurance+Reinsurance and Business Litigation Groups. Mr. Rosen represents corporate and institutional clients in complex business litigation in a wide range of matters, including contract disputes, business torts, insurance and reinsurance, partnership disputes, real estate, and mass torts. In addition to his trial experience, he has extensive alternative dispute resolution expertise as an advocate and arbitrator and in mediations. He has also successfully argued a number of appeals to the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts.

Mr. Rosen's insurance practice includes representing a number of leading insurers in litigation and coverage matters involving mass torts, environmental pollution, silica and asbestos, advertising injury, construction defects, property damage, and D&O and E&O coverage. He has also handled disputes arising out of group life and health coverage, brokerage disputes, and reinsurance litigation involving environmental, asbestos, and professional liability claims.

One of Mr. Rosen's more noteworthy cases was his successful representation of a Detroit museum in a "custody battle" over ownership of the original "Howdy Doody" puppet from the 1950s television show. The case generated substantial national and international media coverage.
