Susan E. Mack has joined Adams and Reese as Special Counsel in 2015, following her 25 year career as General Counsel of insurance and reinsurance entities in both the life/health and property/casualty sectors. She is resident in the firm’s Jacksonville office.

Practicing law since 1982, Susan focuses primarily upon resolution of sophisticated insurance and reinsurance disputes. Noted for her experience in insurance and reinsurance arbitration, Susan was one of the founders of ARIAS-US, the premier organization for insurance and reinsurance alternative dispute resolution. She not only acts as a litigator herself, but also continues to frequently serve as an industry arbitrator and expert witness. From ARIAS-US, she holds the baseline certification as arbitrator and the advanced credential of certified umpire. She is also a qualified mediator with ARIAS -US. She is credentialed as a commercial arbitrator by the American Arbitration Society.

Susan brings a particularly practical perspective to the resolution of her clients’ insurance-related issues, since she has served as Chief Claims Officer and Chief Contracts Officer of her past employers. She has substantial experience resolving insurance and corporate compliance concerns since she has served as Chief Compliance Officer in both the life/health and property/casualty contexts.
