Tammy L. Meyer

Tammy Meyer focuses her practice in the areas of wealth preservation, estate planning and the administration of estates. She has advised U.S.-based and multijurisdictional high-net-worth individuals and families on a wide variety of techniques involving complex estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax planning, including onshore and offshore trust structures and charitable giving planning.

Tammy’s experience includes the representation of corporate and individual fiduciaries in various administrative matters and in contested accounting proceedings in New York Surrogate’s Court (Nassau, New York and Westchester counties) and New Jersey Superior Court, Chancery Division, Probate Part. She also represents individuals and charities in other contested and non-contested matters before the courts and the Internal Revenue Service. In addition, Tammy has experience in mediation and settlement of claims, including claims against a corporate fiduciary under the Prudent Investor Act and on a pro bono basis regarding fraudulent conveyance of a personal residence.

As internal counsel to a major international banking institution, Tammy advised the trust company and the asset wealth management division on matters relating to trust administration, regulatory matters, individual retirement accounts, and a variety of products offered by the private bank and the broker dealer.
