Tim Perry is an experienced trial lawyer and a member of the firm’s Securities and Litigation/Controversy Departments. Mr. Perry’s practice focuses on white collar matters, internal corporate investigations of all types, and the defense of government enforcement actions related to securities.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Perry was an Assistant US Attorney for the Southern District of California, where he was the securities fraud coordinator and a member of the Major Frauds and Special Prosecutions section. While an Assistant US Attorney, he tried 15 federal jury trials and led dozens of long-term grand jury investigations involving securities fraud, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), campaign finance fraud, corruption, money laundering, obstruction of justice, and commercial fraud related to antidumping and international trade. Mr. Perry served twice as a Special Attorney to investigate recusal matters outside his home district, and is experienced in handling classified information, including top secret information subject to SCI protocols. In 2013, Mr. Perry won the Attorney General’s Award—the highest honor given by the Department of Justice. Mr. Perry was also a recipient of the Department of Homeland Security ICE 2014 Director’s Award for Superior Dedication to Teamwork, as well as the Homeland Security Investigations’ 2012 Executive Associate Director’s Award for Outstanding Investigative Accomplishments.

Previously, Mr. Perry was an associate at a large international law firm in San Francisco. Before attending law school, Mr. Perry was a Fulbright scholar in South Africa, where he monitored the implementation of portions of the 1996 constitution.
