Mandy Childs is a trial lawyer experienced in complex commercial litigation, with a focus on disputes in the consumer products, energy, manufacturing, and technology industries. She has handled matters for clients such as Amazon, Bank of America, ConsumerInfo.com, Dana Corporation, Dell, Kaiser Aluminum Corporation, Southern Company, and Toray Industries.
She has appeared in state and federal courts throughout the country representing clients in cases concerning breach of contract, fraud, products liability, negligence, toxic tort, deceptive trade practices, state and local tax, consumer class actions, and bankruptcy-related litigation. Mandy has represented debtors, creditors, lenders, and other interested parties in bankruptcy and adversary proceedings. She has successfully defended proposed class actions under state and federal statutes such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Credit Repair Organizations Act, and RICO.
Mandy also has represented clients in regulatory and government investigative matters involving the Department of Energy, Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Most recently, she has assisted in internal investigations for companies related to alleged Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and accounting fraud violations.
Mandy frequently advises on topics related to e-discovery including preservation, collection, forensic analysis, and data privacy.
Mandy is actively involved in the community including the Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers/Foundation, Attorneys Serving the Community, and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. She keeps an active pro bono docket and also serves as a mentoring attorney for pro bono cases around the country.
