Amanda N. Slatin is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Slatin represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law before federal and state trial and appellate courts and administrative agencies. Her practice includes litigating the full spectrum of employment matters, such as wage and hour violations, complex employment matters, class actions, and multiplaintiff and single-plaintiff disputes involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, protection of trade secrets, and unemployment insurance law.
In addition to her litigation background, Ms. Slatin counsels employers of all sizes on a wide range of employment matters, including issues arising under Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, Section 1981, and other state and federal law causes of action. Ms. Slatin has also advised clients with respect to compliance with overtime requirements of the FLSA, as well as properly classifying employees as exempt or nonexempt.
Ms. Slatin received her J.D., cum laude, in 2004 from Fordham University School of Law. While in law school, she served as an editor and national competitor on the Fordham Moot Court Board. She earned her B.A., summa cum laude, in political science from Rutgers University in 2001.
