Andrés Chaves focuses on assisting clients primarily in connection with energy and infrastructure transactions in Latin America, including acquisition and project finance, as well as M&A, joint venture, and cross-border commercial transactions work.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Andrés worked in the Washington, D.C. office of another leading international law firm where he also concentrated on global infrastructure and project finance. Before attending law school, Andrés worked for several years with a leading global paper and packaging manufacturer in various finance, marketing, and international sales roles.

Andrés is a native of Colombia and a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he was one of only 10 foreign cadets worldwide admitted with his class.
