Andrew D. Gregor

Andrew D. Gregor is an associate and business lawyer at Foley & Lardner LLP where he focuses on employee benefits, ERISA, executive compensation under Internal Revenue Code Section 409A, and related issues pertaining to implementing and maintaining retirement and welfare plans. Mr. Gregor’s employee benefits work covers a wide array, including traditional ERISA defined benefit and 401(k) plans; non-ERISA cash balance plans; church-sponsored 403(b) plans; government 457(b) plans; and employer provided medical insurance. Mr. Gregor is a member of the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation, Transactional & Securities, and Labor & Employment Practices.

His work in the Transactional & Securities Practice involves advising clients on retirement plan issues arising from merger and acquisition transactions.

In addition to helping clients maintain their retirement and welfare plans, Mr. Gregor works with clients to help them attract and retain top quality employees by helping clients enhance their compensation packages through the use of such incentives as 401(k) plan matching contributions, employee stock option plans, nonqualified executive deferred compensation, flexible spending accounts, and voluntary employee beneficiary associations (VEBAs).

Mr. Gregor strives to stay at the forefront of his field. He is a contributor to Foley’s Employee Benefits Developments Newsletter, which reports on the latest developments in employee benefits and ERISA law. Mr. Gregor has recently advised clients on issues pertaining to COBRA premium subsidy, HIPAA, cafeteria plan regulations, GINA, Michelle’s Law, Medicare Secondary Payer regulations, the Department of Labor’s Voluntary Correction Program, and the IRS’s Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (EPCRS).
