Angela Cummings has successfully represented employers in all aspects of employment law for almost two decades.

She litigates federal and state court cases arising under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and other federal and state employment laws.

Angela is at home in both state and federal courts in North Carolina, in arbitrations, and in front of state and federal administrative agencies (including EEOC, USDOL and NCDOL). She also has experience litigating class and collective actions, including wage and hour cases. Angela also has experience handling EEOC systemic investigations and Commissioner charges.

In addition to her litigation experience, Angela counsels employers on strategies for avoiding litigation. She knows her clients, and their industries, inside and out so that she is able to provide practical and meaningful advice. She has successfully represented employers in reported decisions that provide favorable case law. Angela also possesses significant experience training managers and employees with respect to legal compliance. She also frequently writes articles on employment law topics for a variety of news and legal publications.

Prior to joining FordHarrison, Angela was a partner at a large multinational labor and employment law firm.
