Anne Y. Brody is an associate in the Orange County Office of Gibson Dunn and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Life Science Practice Groups.

Dr. Brody has experience litigating matters involving pharmaceutical and biotechnology patents. She is regularly involved in Gibson Dunn’s representations of brand-name pharmaceutical companies in ANDA litigations and other high stakes patent litigations. She has also handled disputes relating to patent licenses and patent prosecution malpractice.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Dr. Brody earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry with high honors from University of California, Berkeley. She then earned her doctorate degree in chemistry from California Institute of Technology, where she developed biotechnology devices for protein engineering and single cell manipulation. She has also worked as a research scientist at a leading diagnostic company developing new clinical diagnostic tests.

Dr. Brody is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and in the State of California. She is fluent in conversational Mandarin Chinese.
