Anthony Gill focuses on securities litigation, white collar defense, class action litigation and complex commercial litigation.

Anthony's practice is concentrated on securities-related matters. He has represented clients in both civil and criminal proceedings. Anthony's matters have included claims under the federal securities laws, the blue sky laws of various states and New York state criminal statutes. He has represented clients in federal securities class action and individual lawsuits before various federal District Courts and Circuit Courts of Appeal. He has also represented clients in investigations by regulatory agencies including the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York County District Attorney, the New York State Attorney General and the Connecticut Department of Banking.

Anthony has also defended clients in complex commercial disputes involving breach of contract, common law fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, insurance coverage and related causes of action, before both state and federal courts. In addition to his federal practice, Anthony has significant experience in the New York State court system, representing clients before trial and appellate courts.

As part of DLA Piper's Electronic Discovery Readiness and Response group, Anthony was a leading member assisting in the development of the electronic evidence discovery practices and capabilities of the firm and the New York office in particular. He has been involved in multiple instructional and training presentations to DLA Piper lawyers as well as firm clients on the developing law of electronic discovery and best practices for litigation readiness.

Anthony is a member of the Washington, DC office's Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
