Anthony Bruno is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins. His practice encompasses general litigation matters, with a specialization in appellate litigation and major trial court motions. He has authored or co-authored briefs filed in the California Supreme Court, the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the US District Court for the Central District of California, and with federal administrative agencies. Highlights include garnering recent appellate victories in complicated bankruptcy matters, as well as authoring or contributing to successful summary judgment motions filed in various insurance coverage disputes.

Mr. Bruno is also active with the firm’s pro bono program. He has assisted disabled veterans file successful claims for disability compensation and has aided a political dissident from Burma in seeking asylum in the United States.

Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Mr. Bruno served as a law clerk to the Honorable Diane S. Sykes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Mr. Bruno is also former aviation maintenance officer in the United States Navy. He served from 2000-2006, attaining the rank of lieutenant. He is also a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
