Ashley L. Allyn

Ashley Allyn is an associate in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Orange County office. She practices with the firm’s Labor and Employment and Litigation Departments. Ms. Allyn’s practice focuses on labor and employment litigation, including state-wide and national employment wage and hour and discrimination matters.

Ms. Allyn has represented clients in state and federal courts, as well as in mediation. She has experience serving in a lead case management role in wage and hour class action litigation involving issues such as exemption, meal and rest breaks, and termination pay issues, as well as single plaintiff wrongful termination and discrimination actions and administrative hearings.

Ms. Allyn also has experience advising employers regarding personnel policies and employee handbooks, termination issues, disability accommodation, leave matters and other employment-related issues. She has represented clients in a variety of industries, including healthcare, education, retail, and restaurants.

Ms. Allyn has worked on teams that have defeated class certification on behalf of clients in the retail, healthcare and assisted living industries, as well as a team that secured the dismissal of a False Claims Act action.

Ms. Allyn received her law degree in 2007 from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She served as Submissions Editor and Solicitations Editor for the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law and was a board member of the Domestic Violence Project pro bono organization. She was a 1999 Coca-Cola Scholar and a Robert W. Woodruff scholar at Emory University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2003.

Ms. Allyn is a member of the California Bar.
