Barry Hart is a tax partner in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. He enjoys a broad-based tax practice with heavy emphasis on international taxation and U.S. and foreign tax-exempt organizations.
Mr. Hart’s international tax practice involves representation of both foreign and U.S. multinationals in their inbound and outbound activity. Mr. Hart also represents a number of U.S. and foreign charitable and educational organizations and business leagues conducting worldwide programs and operations. An integral part of his practice involves defending such clients in Internal Revenue Service audits and tax controversies.
Mr. Hart received a B.A. in English from Dartmouth College in 1970. He received a J.D. from George Washington University in 1973, and was awarded an LL.M. in taxation from New York University in 1976.
Mr. Hart is a member of the International Development Law Organization and provides pro bono representation to the Orphan Foundation of America.
