Charles S. Fish

Chuck Fish has a vast amount of experience in patent prosecution, including assisting clients in establishing and developing their in-house patent programs, procedures and policies. He handles a range of complex matters such as reissues, reexaminations, appeals, and interferences before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Mr. Fish also has broad experience in patent prosecution outside the United States, including Patent Cooperation Treaty procedures and national stage regulations in various countries, and he has developed a strong rapport with associates involved in patent matters throughout the world.

Before attending law school, Mr. Fish worked at Texas Instruments as an electrical design engineer, where he designed and developed circuitry for state-of-the-art avionics equipment from initial stages to functional products. He also operated and maintained advanced avionics equipment and created a training plan covering the use of such equipment.

Mr. Fish’s military background includes nine years in the United States Army Reserves, where he ranked from second lieutenant to captain.
