Christine Soares

Christine concentrates her practice on regulatory, commercial, and litigation disputes involving public utilities. Christine also provides ongoing legal counsel to transportation and logistics companies on a wide range of legal issues.

Christine practices before local and state regulatory agencies and state and federal courts on behalf of her clients, which include public utilities, common and contract carriers, and call and demand/taxicab companies. She is experienced in base rate, certificate of public convenience, and disputes involving metering, service and billing issues. Christine's experience includes successfully challenging laws and regulations pertaining to call and demand/taxicab companies before local agencies and state appellate courts and advocating on their behalf under Section 1983 in federal court. Christine is also experienced in assisting motor carriers and logistics companies with claims handling, licensing issues, contract review and other corporate matters.

Christine is involved in several community organizations and provides pro bono services through the SeniorLaw Center and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Prisoner Civil Rights Panel. She is president of the Professional Women’s Roundtable, a nonprofit organization focused on providing networking, leadership, educational, and personal growth opportunities to a diverse group of women business leaders in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Before joining Cozen O'Connor, Christine was a partner at a national, Am Law 100 firm where she focused her practice on litigation and public utilities law. Prior to entering the field of law, Christine worked for emerging software companies in human resources management and workforce development.
