Mr. Lyons is a partner in the firm’s Energy Practice group in Washington D.C., where he regularly advises oil and petroleum products pipelines, electric utilities, and financial institutions involved in the energy industry. Mr. Lyons has represented clients in litigated FERC proceedings, including proceedings related to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and market-based rate proceedings. For his clients in the electrical utilities arena, Mr. Lyons concentrates on transactions involving acquisitions and dispositions of interests in FERC jurisdictional facilities, including applications to FERC for approval of such transactions under Section 203 of the Federal Power Act. In 2012, Mr. Lyons was recognized by Chambers USA as an up-and-coming lawyer in Energy: Oil & Gas (Regulatory & Litigation).
